Technical Sales Representative – Flow Cytometry
Based: Seattle, Washington
The company is an innovative manufacturer of flow cytometry instruments and software. Their flow cytometry instruments are used by scientists across the globe in the pharmaceutical, academic, CRO and clinical markets. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their business as the Technical Sales Representative – Flow Cytometry.
Your primary goal is to prospect and develop new business opportunities, as well as managing existing customer relations in the academic, pharmaceutical, CRO and clinical laboratories.
Responsible for pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales customer support on all applications areas related to flow cytometry.
The position is home office based in the Seattle area with regular travel across Washington, Oregon, British Columbia and Alberta.
Managing the full sales process from prospecting new business opportunities, pre-sales demonstrations, pricing discussions, and closing the sale.
Attending conferences and exhibitions to increase brand awareness and new business opportunities.
Working closely with the field service engineer team, as well as internal R&D.
A Degree or scientific studies is beneficial: Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Cancer Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biology; or related field.
Experience selling life science research or diagnostics instruments, equipment or consumables products.
Knowledge of flow cytometry techniques is beneficial.
Self-starter and target driven personality.
Highly motivated and excellent communication skills are essential.
