Account Manager, South UK and Northern Ireland – Analytical Instruments
Location: South UK
The company is a market leading manufacturer of analytical equipment. Their portfolio consists of chromatography, purification and automated sample preparation instruments. Their instruments are used in Clinical, Food and Beverage, Environmental, CRO/CMO, Academic, Forensics, and Pharmaceutical laboratories across the world. They now have an opportunity to join the business an Account Manager.
Your primary responsibility is to identify and secure new business opportunities, as well as managing a number of existing customer accounts.
You will also be responsible to develop and deliver pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales applications support to customers.
Responsible for selling a range of analytical equipment focusing on SPE (solid phase extraction), SLE (supported liquid extraction) and supporting instruments/automation.
The position is home office based, with regular travel throughout South UK and Northern Ireland.
Execute sales strategy to achieve regional sales targets in accordance with the regional business and financial growth plans.
You will have the opportunity to attend conferences and exhibitions.
A scientific degree and equal laboratory experience are essential; analytical chemistry, chemistry, organic chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry; or related.
Experience selling analytical instruments to Clinical, Food and Beverage, Environmental, CRO/CMO, Academic, Forensics, and Pharmaceutical customers.
Comfortable with frequent travel across a designated region.
Highly motivated and excellent communication skills are essential.
