Diagnostic Application Specialist

Location: Newton, NC

The company is a leading manufacturer of laboratory and medical instruments and consumables. Their products are used by scientists and engineers across the world in hospitals, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and academic laboratories. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Diagnostic Application Specialist in Newton, NC. The focus of this position is to manage the sales process of the diagnostic product line, as well as providing technical customer support and demonstrations.

The Role:

Manage and close sales of the company’s diagnostic product line, focussing on the clinical market (hospitals and clinical laboratories).

Responsible for lead and sample management and maintains current record of business activities and customer correspondence using the CRM system.

Demonstrate and promote blood collection systems and Point of Care products.

Perform or assist with correlation studies, cross reference of competitor product.

Training and education for customers and internal new hires.

Successfully addressing customer complaints and resolves problems as needed.

Attend trade shows and conferences to represent and promote the company’s diagnostic product line.

Working closely with the field service engineering and marketing teams.

The position is a hybrid position. It will involve a mixture of working from home, working on site in Newton, NC, and national travel to customer sites across the US. On average, you will be travelling about 50% of the time, which will involve overnight stays, but travel will vary week to week.

Attending conferences and exhibitions to increase brand awareness and new business opportunities.

The Requirements:

Associate, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree: in nursing, biomedical sciences, medical sciences, laboratory sciences or a related field.

Comfortable with travel across the US to hospitals and other customer sites.

Experience in a clinical/ medical setting using similar blood collection/ Point Of Care products is preferred.

Experience in sales is an advantage but not expected.

Drivers license.
