Field Application Specialist – Laboratory Automation
The company is a global leading manufacturer of liquid handling robotics and laboratory automation. Their instruments are used in genomics/NGS, cell biology, proteomics, drug discovery, analytical chemistry, molecular diagnostics, and immunodiagnostics. With a market leading presence, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Field Application Specialist for the UK.
Your primary responsibility is to develop and deliver pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales applications support to customers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academia, hospital, as well as other industries.
Supporting on all application areas, including; Genomics/NGS sample preparation, Drug Discovery, Protein Science, Analytical Chemistry and Diagnostics.
The position is home office based with 60% travel to customer sites across the UK.
Working in collaboration with sales, marketing, applications and service engineer teams, as well as internal R&D.
Opportunity to attend conferences and exhibitions in the UK.
Educated with a BSc, MSc or PhD; Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biology, Analytical Chemistry; or related field.
Experience in a Field Application Specialist or Product Specialist position is beneficial, but not essential.
Experience with laboratory automation; liquid handling robotics, laboratory automation, next generation sequencing, diagnostics; or related applications.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
Comfortable with regular travel in the UK.
