Field Applications Specialist – Laboratory Automation
Location: Geneva or Lausanne, Switzerland
The company is a global leading manufacturer of liquid handling robotics and laboratory automation. Their instruments are used in cell biology, genomics, proteomics, drug discovery, analytical chemistry, molecular diagnostics, and immunodiagnostics. With a market leading presence, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Field Application Specialist for the French speaking region of Switzerland.
Your primary responsibility is to develop and deliver pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales applications support to customers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academia, hospital, food & beverage, as well as other industries.
The position is home office based, with regular travel to customer sites in the French speaking region of Switzerland.
You will have responsibility for the installation and qualification of new systems, as well as preventative maintenance and repairs on the instruments.
Working in collaboration with sales, marketing, applications and service engineer teams, as well as internal R&D.
Opportunity to attend conferences and exhibitions.
Full training is given on the application of the instruments, as well as how to perform installations, maintenance and repairing systems.
Degree/BSc, MSc or PhD: Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry; or related field.
Experience as a Field Application Specialist or Technical Support role is preferred (not essential):in a related field; Laboratory automation, laboratory instruments, life science research equipment, diagnostics equipment, or similar.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Languages: Fluent French and English is essential.
