Location: Belgium

The company is a global leading manufacturer of liquid handling robotics and laboratory automation. Their instruments are used in cell biology, genomics, proteomics, drug discovery, analytical chemistry, molecular diagnostics, and immunodiagnostics. With a market leading presence, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Field Automation Specialist for Belgium.

The Role:

Your primary responsibility is to develop and deliver pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales applications support to customers in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academia, hospital, food & beverage, as well as other industries.

You will have responsibility for the installation and qualification of new systems, as well as preventative maintenance and repairs on the instruments.

Responsible for implementation and programming of automated workflows at the customer site.

Working in collaboration with sales, marketing, applications and service engineer teams, as well as internal R&D.

The position is home office-based Belgium, with estimated 80% travel to customers.

The Requirements: 

Degree/BSc, MSc or PhD: Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry; or related field.

Experience with Laboratory automation is preferred, but not essential.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Fluent Dutch, French and English is essential.

Comfortable with regular travel.
