Field Service Engineer – Laboratory Automation and Liquid Handling Robotics
The company is an innovative manufacturer of liquid handling robotics and laboratory automation. Their instruments are used in cell biology, genomics, proteomics, drug discovery, chemistry and molecular diagnostics Due to company growth they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Field Service Engineer for Europe.
Your primary responsibility is the installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of their liquid handling robots, detection instruments and sample management systems.
This position is home based with travel 3 – 4 days a week across Europe
Customers include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academia, hospitals, food & beverage, as well as other industries.
Working alongside the sales, support and service team in Europe.
Full training is given on the instruments.
Educated in an engineering field is preferred; electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, biomedical or related field.
Experience of installing, maintaining and repairing high tech instruments is essential – laboratory automation or life science / diagnostic instruments.
Open to extensive travel with occasional overnight stays.
Ability to work independently, with natural ability and interest to solve problems.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
