Field Service Engineer, Laboratory Automation

Location: Berlin, Germany

The company is a global leading manufacturer of laboratory automation and liquid handling robotics solutions for full automated workflows. Their systems are used in genomics, cell biology, proteomics, drug discovery, analytical chemistry and molecular diagnostics laboratories across the world. With a market leading presence, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team in Germany as a Field Service Engineer in Berlin.

The Role:

Your primary responsibility is the installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of laboratory automation systems in the East of Germany.

The responsible region covers Berlin to Hanover, and the surrounding areas.

The position is home office based in the Berlin area, with 4 days travel each week to customer sites.

Customers include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academia, hospitals, food & beverage, as well as other niche industries.

Full training is given on the instruments and position.

Working alongside the sales, support and service team Germany.

The Requirements:

Educated in an engineering field is preferred; Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Medizintechnik,  Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Medical Technician; or related subject.

Experience in an engineering / technician position is preferred but not essential.

Ability to work independently, with natural ability and interest to solve problems.

Comfortable with regular travel to customer sites.

Languages: Fluent German and English is essential.
