Field Service Engineer – Laboratory Equipment

Based: Munich, Germany

 The company is a global leading manufacturer of laboratory life science research and clinical diagnostics instruments. Their instruments are used in molecular diagnostics, immunodiagnostics, proteomics, genomics, cell biology and molecular biology applications. With a market leading presence, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Field Service Engineer in Southern Bavaria.

The Role

Your primary responsibility is the installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of diagnostics and life science instruments customers in Southern Bavaria.

This position is home office based, with regular travel to customer sites.

Customers include a range of universities, public and private hospital laboratories.

Working alongside the sales, support and service team in Germany.

Full training is given on the instruments and how to work as a Field Service Engineer.

The Requirements

Educated in an engineering field is preferred; Electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or related field.

Experience in an engineering / technician position is preferred but not essential.

Ability to work independently, with natural ability and interest to solve problems.

Excellent communication skills are essential.

Languages: Fluent German and English is essential.
