Field Service Engineer – X- Ray
Based: Hessen, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland Palatinate, Saarland -Germany
The company is a market leading manufacturer of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) systems. Their instruments are used in the academic, pharmaceutical, metals, mining, food, cosmetics, polymers, oils, plastics, thin film metrology, nanomaterials and many other industries. With a market leading presence, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Field Service Engineer for customers in Hessen, Bavaria, Baden-Wurttemburg, Rhineland Palatinate, Saarland Regions in Germany
You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairing instruments for customers in the German regions stated.
Providing technical support to customers in the academic, building materials, metals, mining, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, polymers, oils, plastics, thin film metrology, nanomaterials and other industries.
Focussing on X-ray diffractometers and X-ray Fluorescence spectrometers.
The position is home office based within the regions, with average 50% travel to meet with customers.
Working closely with the service and support team in Germany.
Education in an engineering or scientific field is preferred; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Materials Engineering; or related field.
Experience in a Field Service Engineering / Service Technician position.
Ability to work independently, with natural ability and interest to solve problems.
Highly motivated, and comfortable with travel across Central and South Germany.
Languages: Fluent English and German is essential.
