Field Service Engineer, X-Ray Diffraction

The company is a market leading manufacturer of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) systems. Their instruments are used in the academic, pharmaceutical, metals, mining, food, cosmetics, polymers, oils, plastics, thin film metrology, nanomaterials and many other industries. With a market leading presence, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Field Service Engineer for customers across Germany.

The Role:

You will be responsible for installation, maintenance and repairing X-ray diffractometers for customers in across Germany

Providing technical support to customers in the academic, building materials, metals, mining, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, polymers, oils, plastics, thin film metrology, nanomaterials and other industries.

The position is home office based in Germany, with average 80% travel to meet with customers.

Working closely with the service and support team in Germany.

The Requirements:

Education in an engineering or scientific field is preferred; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Materials Engineering; or related field.

Experience in a Field Service Engineering / Service Technician position.

Ability to work independently, with natural ability and interest to solve problems.

Highly motivated, and comfortable with travel across North Rhein-Westphalia.

Languages: Fluent German and English is essential.
