Flow Cytometry Application Specialist

Location: Southern California (San Diego / LA)

The company is an innovative manufacturer of flow cytometry instruments, reagents, and analysis software. Their flow cytometers are used in cancer biology, immuno-oncology, immunology, inflammatory diseases, immunoprofiling, and other applications. Their products are used by scientists across the world in pharmaceutical, CRO, cancer research institutions, and academic research institutions. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Flow Cytometry Application Specialist for Southern California.

The Role:

Assist customers by providing training on analyzers and supporting experimental setup and assay optimization.

Provide onsite / remote technical consultations to customers on the use, capabilities, and troubleshooting of products (instruments, software, and reagents). Timely recording and documentation of customer interactions and communicates effectively on the results of these visits to internal customer facing teams.

Develop and deliver pre-sales technical presentations in alignment with business initiatives. Work collaboratively with Sales and Service teams to provide customers with instrument and reagent demonstrations.

Provide onsite support for sales/marketing events, including technical support for trade shows, sponsored seminar series, and user group meetings.

Partner with the Service organization to rapidly resolve issues at the customer site. Makes recommendations for enhancements to existing products.

The position is home office based in Southern California (LA /San Diego), with approximately 50% travel to customer sites.

The Requirements:

BS, MS or PhD in; Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Cancer Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biology; or related field.

Experience using flow cytometry in a laboratory environment.

Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are a plus.

Comfortable with average 50% travel time to customer sites in Southern California.
