Flow Cytometry Application Specialist
The company is an innovative manufacturer of spectral flow cytometry instruments and software. Their flow cytometry instruments are used by scientists across the globe in the pharmaceutical, academic, CRO and clinical markets. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Flow Cytometry Application Specialist for the North East.
Assist customers by providing training on analyzers and supporting experimental setup and assay optimization.
Provide onsite / remote technical consultations to customers on the use, capabilities, and troubleshooting of products (instruments, software, and reagents). Timely recording and documentation of customer interactions and communicates effectively on the results of these visits to internal customer facing teams.
Develop and deliver pre-sales technical presentations in alignment with business initiatives. Work collaboratively with Sales and Service teams to provide customers with instrument and reagent demonstrations.
Provide onsite support for sales/marketing events, including technical support for trade shows, sponsored seminar series, and user group meetings.
Partner with the Service organization to rapidly resolve issues at the customer site. Makes recommendations for enhancements to existing products.
The position is home office based in the Boston area, with approximately 50% travel to customer sites in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.
Educated with an MSc or PhD in; Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Cancer Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biology; or related field.
Experience using flow cytometry in a laboratory environment.
Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are a plus.
Comfortable with average 50% travel to customer sites.
