Genomics Account Manager

Location: Central Europe

The company is a global leading supplier of products and services in the genomics market; Next Generation Sequencing, Genotyping, Gene Expression, Oligos, qPCR probes/assays, DNA Sequencing and Gene Synthesis services. Their products and services are used across the globe in the academic, pharmaceutical, food, agriculture, government and biotechnology industries.

With a market leading presence, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Genomics Account Manager for pharmaceutical customers in Central Europe.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing existing key pharmaceutical customer accounts, as well as developing new business opportunities in Central Europe; Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Supporting pharmaceutical customers with all aspects of their projects; Pharmaco-genomics, Biomarkers, Oncology, Toxico-genomics, Metagenome & Microbiota, drug screening, pre-clinical screening, Clinical Trials, Cell Therapy and manufacturing.

The position is home office based anywhere in Germany, Belgium or the Netherlands, with average 50% travel to customer sites.

Working closely with the sales and support team in Central Europe.

Opportunity to attend conferences and exhibitions in Germany.

The Requirements:

Bachelor/Master’s Degree or PhD in a related scientific field: Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Biology, Biochemistry, Biosciences, Biotechnology; or related subject.

Proven success managing and developing pharmaceutical customer accounts in Central Europe.

Thorough network and knowledge of pharmaceutical Key Opinion Leaders in Central Europe.

Experience with genomic techniques; Next Generation Sequencing, Genotyping, Gene Expression, Oligos, qPCR probes/assays, DNA Sequencing and Gene Synthesis.

Languages: Fluent German and English.

Goal oriented, highly motivated and excellent communication skills are essential.
