Global Sales Engineer

The company is a global manufacturer of process technology, offering an extensive range of products from laboratory to production sized machines and complete plants.

Their process equipment is used for wet and dry grinding, mixing, dispersing, de-aeration and classifying. Their technology is used across the world in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, energy, mining and minerals markets.

The Position:

Development: Develop detailed proposals that outline the cost of the core equipment as well as the surrounding infrastructure, installation, and any additional costs. Ensure that these proposals are coherent, accurate, and tailored to meet the client’s specific needs.

Event Participation: Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows, and conferences. Stay updated on industry trends and network with potential customers and partners.

Cost Estimation: Utilize information from post-project analyses to improve the accuracy of cost estimates and the quality of proposals for future projects. Learn from past projects to continuously enhance proposal quality and accuracy.

Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their specific needs, constraints, and operational requirements. Ensure that proposals meet these needs while also aligning with technical and financial constraints.

System Design: Design the ancillary system required for the full functionality of mills, mixers, and other process engineering equipment at the client’s site. This includes specifying connections for utilities, product feed systems, and exhaust systems.

Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with the engineering department to ensure that all technical specifications and designs are feasible and optimized for the client’s operations.

Typically 3 days from the Lichfield site and 2 home office days each week, with 1 week international travel to customer sites every 6 weeks.
