IT Site Admin – Europe
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
The company is an innovative manufacturer in the biotechnology market. They manufacture life science research instruments and software, used by scientists across the globe in the pharmaceutical, academic, CRO and clinical markets. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their business as the IT Site Admin for Europe.
As the site admin, you will be responsible for all aspects of IT related assistance to the users in the office and in the EMEA region. Responsibilities will relate to the setup, configuration, continuous operation and maintenance of network operations for the local office. The scope of the network hardware support includes firewall appliances, switches, Wi-Fi access Points, telecom and UPS. The scope of desktop hardware support includes laptops, desktops, printers, and cell phones. The scope of software support includes MS Windows Operating Systems, MSOffice applications, local databases used to support business functions, and various business applications (e.g. SharePoint, NetSuite, Salesforce and Propel). The IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining current technical knowledge of network, operating system, and appliance technology.
Assess onboarding needs of forecasted new employees for computers and software.
Build associate computers to defined company image.
Deploy new equipment to new employees and assist in getting them configured in all the systems they require access to.
Provide desktop support to internal and field-based employees.
Deploy and monitor Anti-virus/Malware security for network and company devices.
Provide first line support for the following Business applications: Windows 10, Office 365 Suite, Salesforce, Service Cloud, NetSuite, Propel, RingCentral.
Create and administrate employee network accounts.
Monitor network performance, remove bottlenecks, and ensure network coverage.
Maintain accurate user equipment inventory (hardware and critical software).
Report network and organizational performance metrics to Management.
Create proposals for strategic IT improvements to infrastructure, connectivity, bandwidth, security, and scaling.
Utilize the US Based IT Ticketing system and work with US staff on issues that need resolution.
BA/BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering or other 4-year technical degree in related discipline is desired.
Experience with Salesforce and/or NetSuite.
Experience working with Windows 10 systems and Windows Server 2012. Virtual Machine experience a plus (VMWare).
Proficiency and troubleshooting skills in O365 applications.
CRM and ERP user administration experience.
Laptop troubleshooting skills.
