Marketing Manager

Location: Newton, NC

The company is a global leading manufacturer of laboratory and medical instruments and products. Their products are used by scientists and engineers across the world in hospitals, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and academic laboratories. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Marketing Manager based in North Carolina.

The Role:

Responsible for the direction of all U.S. marketing, product management and special-order activities within the Life Sciences and Diagnostics division.

Allocates an annual budget across major advertising categories and objectives.

Plans and executes promotional calendars and tools.

Approves exhibit schedule, designs national and mini show booth layouts and messages, creates post-show marketing, and oversees lead management.

Coordinates product training, as well as the communication and market placement of product launches, changes and discontinuations.

Directs special order processing from requests through item creation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Manages market research projects and effectively communicates product, business and pricing trends to top management, the Sales department and Accounting.

Generates product forecasts upon request.

Protects the corporate graphic standards and proprietary manufacturing processes and knowledge.

Represents the company at key events, functions and forums.

Directly supervises 3 employees in advertising and 3 product managers for the life science portfolio.

It is a hybrid role including: working onsite in Newton, remote work and travel across the US to shows and conferences.

The Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters degree (or equivalent) in a subject related to Life Sciences or Marketing.

Experience in a marketing function.

Experience or knowledge in the Life Science, Diagnostic or Medical market.

Managerial experience would be an advantage.

Ability to work on-site in Newton 2 days a week.

Comfortable with travel to trade shows and conferences across the US.
