National Account Manager – Flow Cytometry
The company is a start-up manufacturer of flow cytometry instrumentation. Their instrument is used for accurate and rapid large particle analysis at high analytical throughput. They are now in early stages of commercialisation and are now looking for a National Account Manager to establish their market presence in North America.
Your primary goal is to prospect and develop new business opportunities, as well as managing existing customer relations in the academic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and CRO.
Managing the full sales process from prospecting new business opportunities, pre-sales demonstrations, pricing discussions, and closing the sale.
Work with the Applications and Marketing staff to drive the development and execution of territory and account specific strategies.
The role is home office based with estimated 70% travel to customer sites.
Attending conferences and exhibitions to increase brand awareness and new business opportunities.
BA/BSc, MSc or PhD is essential: Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Cancer Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biology; or related field.
Experience selling life science instrumentation is essential.
Knowledge and experience with flow cytometry and related applications if preferred, but not essential
Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to operate independently and strategically to achieve individual and corporate goals.
Comfortable with average 60% travel time.
