Location: Karlsruhe, Germany

The company is a global leading manufacturer of analytical instrumentation for elemental analysis, materials research, structural and surface investigations. Their instruments support a wide range of customers in heavy industry, chemistry, pharmacy, semiconductor, solar, life science, nanotechnology, and academic research. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team in Karlsruhe as a Physicist for Algorithm Development.

The Role:

Method development specifically including algorithm and software development for coherent diffractive imaging.

Method verification with experimental data.

Close collaboration in a multinational development team.

The position is based from the company site in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Working closely with the Research and Development team.

The Requirements:

Educated with a PhD in: Physics, Physik, Applied Mathematics; or related field.

Experience in algorithm development for diffraction, tomography or imaging applications.

Experience with coherent diffractive imaging methods and algorithms (CDI, Ptychography, Holography, etc.) is a plus.

Object-oriented programming experience (Python, C++, C#, or similar).

Good cooperation and communication skills, especially in an international context.
