Research Scientist

Location: Fremont, CA

The company is an innovative manufacturer of flow cytometry instruments and reagents. Their products are used in cancer biology, immuno-oncology, immunology, inflammatory diseases, immunoprofiling, and other applications. Their products are used by scientists across the world in pharmaceutical, CRO, cancer research institutions, and academic research institutions. Due to company growth, they are looking for a Research Scientist to join their team in Fremont.

The Role:

Carry out flow cytometry experiments using biological samples.

Follow SOPs and protocols to carry out reagent, assay panel, and instrument testing.

Perform data analysis and summarize data for review.

Design experiment to troubleshoot if necessary.

Giving presentations in group meetings.

Perform fluorescent conjugated Ab testing and record keeping.

Assist in study protocol and SOP development and writing.

Assist in lab management.

The Requirements:

Educated with a BS or MS in a scientific field; Cell Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology; or a related field.

Hands-on experience in general lab techniques such as handling human blood samples, cell culture, operating common lab equipment; pipetting, centrifuge, etc.

Knowledge of flow cytometry is a plus, but not essential.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate in a team setting.
