Sales Consultant – Analytical Instruments

Location: Basel, Switzerland

The company is a global manufacturer of analytical instruments. Their instruments are used in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, academia, food & beverage, petrochemicals, energy, plastics, to name a few. They now have an opportunity to join their team as the Sales Consultant for Basel.

The Role

Your primary responsibility is to identify and secure new business opportunities, as well as managing several existing customer accounts.

Responsible for selling a range of scientific instruments, parts and accessories used for titration, ion chromatography, NIR / Raman spectroscopy, process analytics, electrochemistry, and liquid handling.

The position is home office based, with regular travel to customers Basel.

Execute sales strategy to achieve regional sales targets in accordance with the regional business and financial growth plans.

You will have the opportunity to attend conferences and exhibitions.

The Requirements

A scientific degree/ education or equal laboratory experience are essential; analytical chemistry, chemistry, organic chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry; or related.

Fluent German and English is essential, French is advantageous.

Comfortable with regular travel across Basel.

Highly motivated and excellent communication skills are essential.
