Genomic Services Sales Manager

Location: Germany

The company is headquartered in Germany, providing genomic services; Next Generation Sequencing, Microarray, dPCR and PCR. Their genomics facility has Illumina MiSeq, NextSeq and HiSeq systems, as well as technology from Thermo Fisher and Agilent Technologies. Their services are used by pharmaceutical, biotechnology and academic customers, focussing on biomarker discovery, metagenomics, pharmacogenetics and biodistribution projects.

They now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as the Sales Manager to manage customer relations in Germany and across Europe.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts, as well as developing new business opportunities in Germany and Europe.

Selling the full genomics services offering; Next Generation Sequencing, Microarray, dPCR and PCR.

The position is home office based anywhere in Germany, with average 30% travel time.

Working with major universities, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

Working closely with the scientific and project management team in Germany.

Opportunity to attend conferences and exhibitions in Germany.

The Requirements:

BSc, MSc or PhD in a scientific field: Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Biology, Biochemistry, Biosciences, Biotechnology; or related subject.

Experience selling products or services related to genomics, molecular biology or life science research.

Knowledge of genomic techniques; Next Generation Sequencing, Microarray, Genotyping, Gene Expression, qPCR, DNA Sequencing and Gene Synthesis.

Languages: Fluent German and English.

Goal oriented, highly motivated and excellent communication skills are essential.
