The company is a fast-growing provider of genomic and immuno-oncology focused analytics. They have established a market leading position in the immuno-oncology space for biomarker discovery and personalised cancer vaccine applications. Their platform is used globally by pharma/biopharma companies to support immunotherapy translational research, clinical studies and combination trials. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their commercial team as the Senior Account Manager for the Bay Area.
Your primary goal is to prospect and develop new business opportunities, as well as managing existing key relations with pharma/biopharma customers in the Bay Area.
Responsible for promoting and selling the genomics / immuno-oncology portfolio of services targeting early biomarker discovery, translational & clinical research, and cancer vaccine development.
The position is home office based in the Bay Area with regular travel to the customer sites in the Bay Area.
Develop and implement individual, territory and account strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
Working closely with the project management, field applications, sales and marketing teams.
Educated with a Bachelor’s Degree, MSc or PhD: Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences, Cancer Biology, Biology, Genetics, Life Sciences; or related field.
Experience successfully selling to pharma/biopharma customers in the Bay Area, with a focus on genomics, molecular biology, genetics, or related services and products.
Thorough understanding of the drug discovery process in particular oncology or immuno-oncology.
Comprehensive knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing.
Experience developing strong relationships ranging from level C Executives to Scientific Directors within pharma/biopharma customers in the Bay Area.
