Senior Assay Development Scientist

Location: Fremont, CA

The company is an innovative manufacturer of flow cytometry instruments, reagents, and software. Their flow cytometry products are used in cancer biology, immuno-oncology, immunology, inflammatory diseases, immunoprofiling, and other applications. Their products are used by scientists across the world in pharmaceutical, CRO, academic and cancer research institutions. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Senior Assay Development Scientist in Fremont.

The Role:

Carry out flow cytometry experiments using biological samples.

Follow existing and draft new SOPs and documents required to carry out reagent, assay, and instrument development and testing.

Perform data analysis and summarize data for review.

Design experiments to trouble shoot if necessary.

Give presentations in group meetings and with customers.

Perform and document fluorescent conjugated Ab testing.

Perform study protocol writing, SOP development, any associated documentation.

Assist in lab management.

The Requirements:

BS, MS, or PhD in; Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biology; or related life science field.

Hands-on experience using flow cytometry for immunological research, cellular immune phenotyping, and other applicable cell-based assays.

Experience in all aspects of flow cytometry assay design, development, validation, documentation, and deployment

Experience with LDT validation and documentation.

Experience working in a regulated environment such as GLP/GMP environment.

Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
