Senior Fluidics Engineer
Location: Fremont, CA
The company is an innovative manufacturer of life science research and flow cytometry instruments and analysis software. Their products are used by scientists across the world in pharmaceutical, CRO, cancer research institutions, and academic research institutions. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Senior Fluidics Engineer.
Complete mechanics and fluidics design of non-standard automated instruments according to the project requirements.
Work with engineers and application specialists on development, debugging, and verification testing of automated fluidics systems.
Provide technical support during verification, production, and post launch phases.
Complete related subsystem technical files, operation manuals, etc.
MS or PhD in; Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Fluid Dynamics / Fluidics; or related subject.
Experienced in fluidics design for medical products, including selection of materials for chemical compatibility, and selection of OEM fluidics components with a strong emphasis on reliability.
Demonstrated proficiency in use of commercial CFD packages, 3D modeling tools, and 2D drawing creation (SolidWorks, Pro-E, ANSYS, etc.).
Familiarity with control of electromechanical devices, such as stepper motors, DC servo motor drives, pneumatic cylinders, pressure transducers, optical sensors, etc.
Familiarity with machining and sheet metal processing. Experience in designing injection molding products is a plus.
