Technical Account Manager

Location: Central or East US

The company is a global leading manufacturer of laboratory and medical instruments and consumables. Their products are used by scientists, medical staff and engineers across the world in hospitals, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and academic laboratories. Due to company growth, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Technical Account Manager in the US.

The Role:

Prospecting and developing new business opportunities, as well as managing existing customer relations.

Focussing on the precision tubing, cannula and needle sales, to the medical market as well as other industrial markets.

Managing the full sales process from prospecting new business opportunities, pre-sales demonstrations, pricing discussions and closing the sale.

Preparing reports of business transactions and keeping expense accounts.

Reporting into the Sales Manager, based in Germany, and the CEO and President for the US.

The position is home office based in the US, however, there will be frequent travel across the country to customer sites (~ 90%), including overnight stays.

Attending conferences and exhibitions to increase brand awareness and new business opportunities.

Attending sales training, refresher courses, and new product introduction presentations as required.

The Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree: in a Science-related or Business-related field.

Comfortable with regular travel across the US.

Experience in sales is preferred.

Familiarity with precision tubing in a medical or industrial setting is an advantage.

Driver’s license.
