Technical Sales Specialist, Flow Cytometry
Location: New York
The company is an innovative manufacturer of flow cytometry instruments, reagents, and software. Their flow cytometry instruments are used by scientists across the globe in the pharmaceutical, academic, CRO and clinical markets. They now have an exciting opportunity to join their business as a Technical Sales Specialist in New York.
Your primary goal is to prospect and develop new business opportunities, as well as managing existing customer relations in the academic, pharmaceutical, CRO and clinical laboratories.
Managing the full sales process from prospecting new business opportunities, pre-sales demonstrations, pricing discussions, and closing the sale.
The position is home office based in or close to New York, with travel across the territory that covers; New York and New Jersey.
Attending conferences and exhibitions to increase brand awareness and new business opportunities.
Working closely with applications support, field service engineer, and internal R&D departments.
A Degree or scientific studies is beneficial: Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Cancer Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biology; or related field.
Experience selling life science research instruments and capital equipment.
Knowledge of flow cytometry is beneficial.
Self-starter and target driven personality.
Highly motivated and excellent communication skills are essential.
