Technical Sales Specialist
The company is a US based innovative start-up, manufacturing instruments, kits, and software. Their products are used by scientists across the globe in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, government, and academic laboratories. They now have an exciting opportunity to join the business as the first Technical Sales Specialist for Germany.
Your primary goal is to lead the company’s commercial activities in Germany.
Prospecting and developing new business opportunities, as well as managing existing customer relations in the academic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology market.
Responsible for pre-sales demonstrations of instruments and products at the customer site.
The position is home office based anywhere in Germany, with regular travel to customers sites in Germany.
Develop and manage sales pipeline to achieve sales and growth targets.
Work with marketing colleagues to develop a local strategy for marketing and lead generation in Germany.
Attending conferences and exhibitions to increase brand awareness and new business opportunities.
BSc, MSc or PhD in a scientific field: Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology; or related field.
Successful experience selling life science research instruments.
Knowledge of related techniques; ELISA, Western Blotting, Microscopy, Flow Cytometry, High Content Imaging.
Languages; Fluent German and English.
Highly motivated and excellent communication skills are essential.
